Peter Locke – piano/trumpet
Casey Greene – saxophone/flute

South Coast (ex Sydney) based guitarist Jeremy Sawkins has been making fine music with vocalist Trish Delaney-Brown for well over ten years. This special performance at Sussex Inlet Cinema teams them up for the first time with the legendary pianist/trumpeter Peter Locke and Casey Greene. This promises to be a wonderfully serendipitous musical meeting!

Trish Delaney-Brown
A graduate of the ANU’s School of Music Jazz Dept (1995), Trish Delaney-Brown has been singing professionally since late 1991 in a variety of musical genres as both a soloist and a backing vocalist in Australia and overseas. Along with session, corporate & television work, she has led vocal workshops and choirs, produced and promoted her own concerts, was a founding member and soprano of the internationally acclaimed a cappella quartet The Idea Of North and is an award winning songwriter and arranger.

Trish performs with many groups including Lyhra, The Trish Delaney-Brown Quintet, the James Valentine Quartet, the Cam McAllister sextet (and others). She is also Head of Vocals at the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music.

Jeremy Sawkins
Shoalhaven (ex-Sydney)-based guitarist Jeremy Sawkins has been an active member of the Australian music community since the late 1970’s. As well as being a composer/bandleader, Jeremy has shared the stage and recording studios with many notable musicians. Apart from leading his own groups, Jeremy has performed and recorded with many prominent musicians and singers including Sting, Jackie Orszacsky, Kristen Cornwell (Belgium), Tina Harrod, Tom Burlinson, Grace Knight, Darren Percival, Nicky Crayson, Lily Dior, Wendy Matthews, Trish Delaney-Brown, Katy Noonan, Kate Miller-Heidke, Melinda Schneider, Ella Hooper, Virna Sanzone, Kristin Berardi, Dr Roger Frampton, David Ades, Alister Spence, Matt McMahon, Lloyd Swanton, Craig Scott, Bernie McGann, Jim Kelly, James Muller, Paul McNamara, Phil Wilson (U.S.A.) James and John Morrison, John Foreman, Don Burrows, The Sydney Jazz Orchestra, Monica Trapaga, Bert and Pattie Newton as well as Dominic Miller and Ira Coleman (both from Sting’s band).

Since relocating to the Illawarra/Shoalhaven region in 2016, Jeremy has performed regularly in the area leading his own groups and as guitarist with vocalist Trish Delaney-Brown (The Idea of North). His guitar playing graces her album “The Game” as part of her quintet as well as with the Serenata Trio.

Peter Locke
Peter Locke is one of Australia’s most highly respected jazz pianists, musical directors and accompanists. Based out of Sydney and the South Coast, Peter is in high demand in many musical settings due to the impressive depth of the jazz tradition in his playing.

In addition to his own “Peter Locke Trio”, he performs regularly with Dan Barnett’s Big Band, Brad Child’s Swing Era Band, John Morrison’s Swing City Big Band among others. Peter regularly accompanies some of the country’s top vocalists including Gregg Arthur, Wilma Reading, Monica Trapaga, Di Bird, Marilyn Mendez, George Washingmachine and Johnny Nicol, to name but a few. He also accompanied the late Marie Wilson.
